RESTRICTIONS ON WHAT KIND OF FIREARM THIN BLUE LINE ARMORY WILL ACCEPT


Any firearm being sent to Thin Blue Line Armory that is NOT NY compliant will be returned to the transferring FFL at the customer’s expense unless you are exempt by law. It is up to you as the CUSTOMER to determine compliance PRIOR to transfer. Make sure that you check the magazine capacity of the firearm.  The magazine must be 10 rounds or less from the manufacturer.  If the firearm(s) come into Thin Blue Line Armory with non-NY compliant magazines. Thin Blue Line Armory will keep the illegal magazines. Pre-ban firearms must be shipped with a letter from the manufacturer confirming the pre-ban status.  Customers may request consideration for the pre-ban using federally regulated pre-ban listings. Thin Blue Line Armory will accept post ban assault weapons as long as they have been previously legally registered (must have paperwork) and the recipient is legally eligible to take possession. 

 

RESTRICTIONS ON WHO CAN PICK UP THE TRANSFERRED FIREARM(S)


Only the purchaser can take possession of the firearm(s).
The recipient of the firearm must have the proper permit/certificates/identification/residency to take possession of the specific firearm(s).  Any questions on what identification is required, contact us FIRST. 

 

WHAT IS NEEDED TO REQUEST A TRANSFER


STEP 1  Make sure that you have read and understood the policies and fees written on this page. 
STEP 2  Complete the transfer request form below. 
STEP 3  Thin Blue Line Armory will contact the FFL that you have chosen to ship us the firearm(s) and or ammo and send them a copy of our license if requested by shipping FFL. NOTE:  Thin Blue Line Armory will only send our FFL to another FFL. 

 

WHEN CAN I PICK UP MY FIREARM(S)


The transferring FFL may give you tracking information for the shipment. HOWEVER, just because you receive notification that the firearm(s) is/are delivered it will not automatically be ready for pickup.  Do NOT come down to the store without scheduling an appointment FIRST as you may be making a trip and the firearm may not be ready.

The transferring FFL may give you tracking information for the shipment. TRANSFER FEES


Our fee for receiving incoming transfers is on the homepage (per firearm and or ammo) with current New York Permit and or Proper ID. Thin Blue Line Armory assumes no responsibility for the condition in which transferred firearms arrive at our store. 

If a firearm is received and you wish to have it sent to another dealer for any reason you are still liable for any fees associated such as transfer fee's and shipping.
